Saltwater Fish Tanks: Don't Lose Another Fish!

When you look or see a salt water aquarium the first thing you see are the beautiful colorful fish, the sound of the bubbles, the trickle of the water which reminds you of a waterfall and the serene calming feeling you feel when you just sit and stare into the depths of the tank itself.

One of the hardest parts of maintaining and starting your own salt water aquarium is not putting the tank together, there are directions for that. It's not picking the right fish for your new aquarium. As long as you do your research and know what fish can acclimate to other fish and what to look for when buying your fish then you should be okay.

The hardest part I think when maintaining a salt water aquarium is the water. Keeping the ammonia, nitrate, Salinity/specific gravity, carbon dioxide, pH levels, alkalinity, Chlorine/chlorine, carbonate water hardness, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, and the amount of iron in your aquariums water correct and safe for your tropical fish is a very daunting task and requires patience.

But don't let this scare you away from having one of these beautiful tanks in your house. You can purchase a saltwater test kit. These kits are specifically designed to test all the water elements that are required to keep your salt water tropical fish healthy. Purchase several of these kits and use them often. One way you can save a little money on saltwater test kits is by purchasing a master test kit.

So as you can see it's easier to do then to write all of this. Just buy the test and USE it frequently because it's the only way to keep your expensive tropical fish healthy and disease free. Who wants to go through the time and expenses of purchasing beautiful tropical fish, to not take care of them... Doesn't make sense does it?

Well that's about it for today.
